The Dueler A/T Ascent is designed to drive comfortably on the highway, provide sure-footed grip when the road ends and deliver confident performance in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including light snow capability that meets the tire industry's severe snow service rating requirements and is sufficient to earn the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
The resilient all-season, all-terrain compound of the Dueler A/T Ascent is molded into a balanced, symmetric pattern. Featuring Bridgestone's ENLITEN technology, it has been designed from the onset to create a longer lasting tire that resists irregular wear. Broad shoulders and an optimized tread block arrangement deliver confident highway tracking.
Alternating scalloped shoulders provide an aggressive look and offer strong functional traction when driving on gravel, dirt, and other loose surfaces. Wide circumferential grooves and open shoulder slots help channel water away from the contact patch to resist hydroplaning. Full-Depth 3D Sipes create the biting edges needed for grip on packed snow or other low-friction surfaces.
The robust construction of the Dueler A/T Ascent includes a two-ply, polyester casing beneath two wide, high-strength steel belts that support and stabilize the tread. A nylon reinforcement ply aids handling response while also increasing durability and providing high-speed capability. Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.
